June 26, 2008: The freighter (Haiti) was purchased to be used use as an artificial reef after US. Customs Service agents found a steel compartment hiding ~340 pounds of cocaine during an inspection at the Port of Miami.

Sunk on June 6, 2009, cargo freighter Miss Lourdies was scuttled as the “Miracle of Life” off Boca Raton. The vessel is upright and intact, with the top of the wheelhouse first encountered at a depth of 100 feet, the deck at 125 feet, and the sand at a depth 140 feet. One of the main attractions is the angel sculpture amid ship.
