The 85-foot long trawler Miss Karline was sunk in 55feet of water as an artificial reef in May 1989. In August 1992, Hurricane Andrew ripped the vessel open, and the wreck n o w lists heavily to one side with only her bow and stern recognizable.The Miss Karline is part of the ”Miami Wreck Trek,” which also includes the 65‐foot long tug Patricia resting a short distance away. The two wrecks, as well a sa boulder pile and other artificial reef material, are all linked by rebar stakes, which, along with the shallow depth, makes the ”Trek” a good site for novice divers.
