The Monomoy was an 82-foot long yacht sunk off Fort Lauderdale as an artificial reef in 1970. The former yacht rests in 60 feet of water on the seaward edge of the third reef line, though it is significantly broken up and partially sanded over. This vessel could possibly be the former motor yacht Monomoy, which was operated by the War Department (US. Army Corps of Engineers) in the late 19305.
